Jennifer and LaTasha
Co-Founders of Kash-In & Kash-In Academy
LaTasha McMurry is the dynamic Co-Founder and CEO of Kash-In Learning, a groundbreaking educational platform revolutionizing the way students engage with math. With a remarkable background in education spanning two decades, she has consistently demonstrated her passion for empowering young minds.
Ms. McMurry's journey in education began after earning a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Sam Houston State University in 2007. It was during her time as an associate teacher in Houston, Texas that she discovered her true calling in shaping the educational experiences of children. Over the years, she has held various roles, from tutor to teacher to instructional specialist, honing her expertise in curriculum development, intervention strategies, and assessment.
In 2014, LaTasha's dedication and innovative approach were recognized when she was honored as one of the Teacher of the Year Award recipients by Houston ISD. In pursuit of her commitment to continuous growth, she obtained a Master's degree in Education in August 2015, further solidifying her expertise in the field.
Driven by her desire to motivate and incentivize her math students, Ms. McMurry introduced a highly successful token economy utilizing play "bucks." This inspired collaboration with Jennifer Stelly, leading to the creation of Kash-In—a digital, unified, and user-friendly incentive program designed for campus-wide implementation.
Beyond her remarkable achievements in education, LaTasha finds joy in painting, reading, quality family time, and engaging in crafts. Her creative input, strategic decision-making, and visionary leadership have been instrumental in shaping Kash-In Learning into a leading force in the educational technology landscape.
As the great Nelson Mandela once said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." LaTasha McMurry's unwavering commitment to educational excellence reflects this sentiment, as she continues to empower students and transform the future through Kash-In Learning.
