LaTasha McMurry is the Co-Founder and CEO of Kash-In, where she builds The Scholars’ brand through her keen decision making, creative input, and company expansion concepts.
In 2007, LaTasha received a Bachelor degree in Journalism from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. It wasn’t until she relocated to Houston, Tx. and became an associate teacher, that she realized her love for educating children. "Ms. Mack", has been in education for over a decade and has served under many hats, from tutor to teacher to instructional specialist. During 2016, LaTasha started a token economy with play “bucks” to motivate and incentivize her math students. The ‘bucks’ were a hit. It was then, she teamed up with Jennifer Stelly to create Kash-In for a digital, more unified, and easy to use incentive program, that can be used campus wide.
In the 2014-2015 school year, LaTasha was honored by Houston ISD, as one of the many, Teacher of the Year Award recipients. In August 2015, she received her
Master’s in Education.
Jennifer Stelly is the Co- Founder of the Kash-In App and COO of The Scholars. Jennifer Stelly assist in providing leadership and vision to this diverse multidisciplinary professional service company. Her day-to-day management efforts ensures that The Scholars effectively accomplishes its’ mission to support its clients by providing quality merchandise and to continually improve the performance of the products.
After working 6 years at a Youth Development Center, Jennifer possessed a vision to inspire, equip and guide youth to success. Ms. Stelly currently service as an educator in the Houston area with over 8 years of experience in the classroom. She was honored 3 times as HISD’s campus teacher of the year and 2015-2016 beginning teacher of the year.
In 2020, Jennifer graduated from St. Thomas University with a Master's in Educational Leadership. She also attended Texas Southern University in Houston, Tx and received a Bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice with a minor in Child and Family Consumer Sciences.
